Riva del Garda, 7th October 2019 - The Consul General of the Republic of India in Milan, dr. Binoy George, visited Riva del Garda to meet the leaders of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Spa by virtue of the collaborative relationships etsblished with Expo Riva Schuh event and to be welcomed by the mayor Adalberto Mosaner.
Accompanied by a delegation from Riva del Garda Fiertecongressi Spa - the president Roberto Pellegrini, the general manager Giovanni Laezza and Carla Costa, head of the trade fair area, the mayor of Riva del Garda then welcomed the diplomat in the afternoon. He entertained his hosts reaffirming his great interest in the Garda area and its economy. The importance of strengthening relations with the local territory was also emphasised by the consul following the longstanding collaboration with the international event dedicated to volume footwear.
"An opportunity for exchange focused on stressing the importance of relations with India as the second largest footwear manufacturer in the world, largely represented at the fair by 130 companies. The occasion proved useful to talk about the activities to be implemented to further enhance such relationships in view of the next editions of the fair. The ultimate goal is to consolidate the bond with the city itself”, commented President Roberto Pellegrini during the meeting.
"The business opportunities generated by the fair within the footwear market have further strengthened the bond between the Alto Garda territory and India in recent years” said the mayor Adalberto Mosaner, "and my wish is that this network can be further strengthened so as to become increasingly profitable thus fostering the international vocation and hospitality that naturally suits a location such as Riva del Garda”.
