As the second largest footwear producer at the global level, India could not be missed at the fair among the big players. A large selection of Indian companies displayed its products in the general section and other 79 were hosted in the India Hall collective exhibition in pavilion A3. The Indian footwear has been able to take up a primary role within the fair: essentially made of leather, of excellent manufacture and style, operators appreciate it also for its competitive price.
The CLE - Council of Leather Exports, a long-time partner of the fair, is behind the organization of the India Hall collective exhibition. “Indian footwear export marked a +1% increase from April 2018 to January 2019 – reports Naresh Bhasin, head of the CLE design task force committee. And adds: “Such data ought to be welcomed considering the difficult global context. The event of Riva del Garda is an excellent business tool for Indian exports. The majority of companies exhibiting here generates between 50 and 60% of their revenue by working with large chains, wholesalers, importers and private labels from all over the world”.
