Expo Riva Schuh confirms its role as a point of reference for the global footwear sector, thanks to its ability to deal with strategic themes for the future of the sector at each edition.
The focus of the opening moment of the next edition will be on the sustainability of the fashion system, seen from the broader point of view of "supply chain sustainability".
This is an increasingly important issue for companies, which has already received market feedback. According to the study "Sustainability matters, but does it sell?" - created by McKinsey&Company in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CNMI) and presented during the third edition of the International Roundtable on Sustainability last March - 70% of consumers are willing to choose an eco-sustainable product instead of another with a greater environmental impact, at a cost of 5% or 10% more. And, by virtue of this sales potential, multi-brand stores are increasingly investing in green products. (Source: Il Sole 24 ore)
A commitment to the planet and the environment that can become a real competitive lever on the international scene for footwear companies, and for the entire supply chain that leads to the final consumer.
