Riva del Garda, 21 December 2021 – A village open to start-ups, companies, institutions and professionals to share the culture of innovation and create networking and business opportunities between emerging and established players: Innovation Village Retail is the new future-oriented exhibition area promoted by Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags and created by Blum and Retail Hub with the scientific coordination of Alberto Mattiello.
Created within the framework of the leading international show dedicated to footwear and accessories – scheduled to be held in the Riva del Garda Exhibition Centre from 15 to 18 January 2022 – Innovation Village Retail will showcase ten innovative companies active in the fashion sector; a jury of experts will choose the one with the most forward-looking offer for industry players.
During the show, each start-up will make pitches and presentations to the jury and the public. All of them will also be guaranteed a virtual showcase within the digital platform and a dedicated article published in the show’s official magazine. However, only the winning company will be given the opportunity to take part free of charge as an exhibitor at the June 2022 edition of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags.

Here are the 10 start-ups selected.
Impersive has developed a unique method for producing unique, 360° (stereoscopic), full-body 3D content in virtual reality environments. The start-up has undertaken more than 400 VR projects for leading international brands as well as Italian football teams. Through the Impersive technique, the user wearing the visor can enjoy an immersive VR experience as a key player, from the viewpoint and in the body of an actor, performer or sportsperson.
Inferendo is an innovative start-up created to offer companies the best recommendation service. It is a specific category of artificial intelligence product: many sites use remarketing/retargeting functions, proposing advertisements in the following days to customers who did not complete an order – due to search difficulties or problems using the site – giving the impression of being spied on or monitored by the sites they visit.
DIGITAL TO ASIA
Digital to Asia is a digital marketing company that assists and supports companies in promoting and selling their products or services to Chinese consumers. Since 2017, it has undertaken marketing projects for companies that wish to promote their products or services to Chinese customers; it guides the choices of Chinese tourists visiting Europe through drive to store/attraction marketing techniques.
Pikkart has been active in the field of augmented reality and artificial intelligence since 2014. Two years after its foundation, it created a package for AR development, to which it then added Pikkart-AR Logo technology, software that allows up to a billion different pieces of content to be associated with as many copies of the same image. Today, Pikkart’s R&D activity is focused on augmented intelligence – the combination of augmented reality and artificial intelligence – with vertical applications ranging from retail to industry.
Full Speed is focused on the prevention of injuries and permanent damage resulting from intense physical activity, and on performance. It offers a full range of orthopaedic insoles customised to the user’s specifications and activity that can reduce injuries and permanent damage in sportspeople. Its products can also be applied in other sectors, such as demanding working environments and post-operative rehabilitation.
Lookcast offers a modular solution to support brands in collecting product data and media, defining catalogues, channels and enhancements; in generating catalogues for print; in creating digital catalogues and shopping experiences; in presenting collections and managing sales campaigns.
Future Fashion is an omnichannel platform that helps fashion brands virtualise and customise their collection in 3D, reducing sample costs and enhancing the shopping experience through augmented reality applications. Future Fashion is also developing an omnichannel web app to manage customised orders through a 3D configurator.
Wapping is an SaaS omnichannel loyalty platform for the retail environment. It links all sales channels, enabling companies to profile all their customers and build customised proposals and benefits to be used indiscriminately in physical stores and online, to increase conversion and loyalty. Wapping records every customer interaction (sales/return/social media) under a unique ID that allows companies to understand customer behaviour, and define a precise target to which it can make customised proposals.
RetailTune is an SaaS platform designed to increase in-store traffic and revenues in retailers’ physical stores starting from online. The service aims to engage with users who surf online and then buy offline, offering a uniform and personalised customer experience across all digital touchpoints. The platform engages with these users and directs them to the nearest sales point.
Viume provides digital tools to support the new phygital and hybrid shopping experience, helping brands to show their customers what they really need and what they want to buy. It does this through customised shopping experiences, easy "navigation" between online and offline and personalised support through a booking engine, visual searches and personalised recommendations.
