Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags will be hitting the play button, kicking off on Wednesday 22nd July, with “THE COVID STORM: FROM DIFFICULTIES TO RELAUNCH” the first in the #PLAYfashion series,   the latest digital  initiative aimed at strengthening the relationship between the exhibition and its community.

An un-missable overview for all those companies and professionals who spend their working days in the volume footwear, leather-goods and accessories sectors. This live talk promises to be an opportunity to reflect and compare views on the strategies adopted by the market to respond to the current Coronavirus health emergency. 

Due to be streamed live and open to exhibitors, visitors, consortia, institutional organisations, journalists and bloggers, the event is expected to attract the participation of some of the most influential players in the world of fashion.

Providing a clear snapshot of the sector and discussing consumer trends, future predictions and potential ways of supporting the relaunch of the supply chain, transforming the crisis into an opportunity, will be Joao Maia – Managing Director of Apiccaps (Portugal), Leticia Sperb Masselli – Managing Director of the Brazilian Footwear Project (Abicalçados - Brazil), Aqeel Ahmed Panaruna – Chairman of CLE (Council for Leather Exports - India) and Li Yuzhong – Chairman of CLIA (Chinese Leather Industry Association) representing the various trade associations.

Representing the exhibiting companies’ and buyers’ points of view, on the other hand, will be Elvio Silvagni – Chairman of Goldstar – Valleverde, Claudio Alessi – President of Bata Europe and Stephan Krug – CEO ofSABU Schuh Marketing Gmbh, who will be invited to provide an analysis of the interaction between supply and demand over the past few months and suggest unprecedented interpretations on new purchasing behaviours and expectations  regarding the various sales channels.

Two famous faces from the trade press have been chosen to moderate and stimulate the discussion and interaction between speakers and audience at “THE COVID STORM: FROM DIFFICULTIES TO RELAUNCH:” the freelance journalist and spokesperson for the German Association of the Footwear and Leather Goods Industry, Claudia Schulz and the Managing Director of AF Editions,Matteo Pasca.
