Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

The 93rd edition of Expo Riva Schuh and the 4th edition of Gardabags will be held at the Riva del Garda Exhibition Centre from Saturday 11th January until Tuesday 14th January,  with an increasingly international edge and a focus on training.

With 1,310 exhibitors - 266 Italian and 1,044 from abroad – representing their brands and companies at the 93rd Expo Riva Schuh, the international event and reference point for volume footwear will run until Tuesday 14th January in Riva del Garda.

From important return visits, such as that of the Bulgarian exhibitors, and the increase in companies from Turkey, the exhibition is increasingly up-to-date and dynamic and will once again see the involvement of 38 countries for this edition, occupying over 32,000m2 of exhibition space.

“Expo Riva Schuh offers a unique overview of the footwear chain – according to Roberto Pellegrini, Chairman of the organising company, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi –as wellas guaranteeing importers, wholesale distributors and chains of shops the chance to initiate investments and business relationships within the major international markets. And for some time now, the event is also able to offer an increasingly complete business experience, thanks to   Gardabags.” In Hall D, served by the new north entrance, attention will be concentrated on the bags and leather goods sector of this event, which, with 78 exhibiting companies – 36 from Italy and 42 from abroad – will give even greater value to the entire marketplace.

Determined to maintain their role in the international market, once again for 2020 the events have increased their activities aimed at attracting new visitors by promoting the presence of delegations of buyers from Peru, Colombia, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Sweden, Russia, TheUkraine and Kazakistan, organised by both the Italian Trade Agency and MAECI (The Ministry for Foreign Affairs) and also by the Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags Study Centre.

Right at the heart of this edition is the Hangar Area, a multi-purpose space in Hall D that will host  a packed programme of training events due to take place during the four days of the exhibition, aimed at analysing the fashion system from various angles: from the sustainability of the production chain to the research for new trends, and even the purchasing experience.

The promotion of training events is designed to provide technical know-how but also more specific knowledge about the trade fair. Meeting decision-makers in person and becoming a key reference point for development and innovation is fundamental to us, and is the key to a solid, authoritative brand reputation” – states Carla Costa, Exhibitions Manager for the organising company, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi.
