Celebrate the past, build the future: in a few days’ time, Expo Riva Schuh will reach its 90th edition, paying homage to the history and roots of the event but also looking forward to the present and future challenges.

Given the strong international nature of the event, the focus of the 90th edition celebrations with be entertainment, with music, dance and light displays, starring professional dancers and singers with concerts and pianists in the old town centre of Riva del Garda. And that’s not all. The pianos will be made available to anyone wishing to play them, in a ‘one of a kind’ setting. As evening falls, spectacular video mapping will take over, telling the history of the event and its fundamental links with the local area. The 90th edition celebrations of Expo Riva Schuh will also include aperitifs, international gourmet get-togethers and pleasant social encounters. The celebrations on Sunday 17th and Monday 18th June, will take place in the three squares of Riva del Garda: Piazza III Novembre, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Cesare Battisti.

We are celebrating an important landmark, not only for Expo Riva Schuh, but also for our splendid location,” states Graziano Zambanini, Chairman of the ‘Friends of Expo Riva Schuh Association.’The Association’s mission is to enhance this bringing together of the local area, with Riva del Garda being the heart, yet not forgetting the impact of the success of this fair on the whole of the Upper Garda area, as well as the fair itself. It is only right that this profound link should be highlighted, opening up this entertainment to the workers from this sector who will take part in the fair, (editor’s note: over 1,400 exhibitors and more than 13,000 buyers coming from 100 plus countries) and also for the entire community and tourists present at Lake Garda.”

The 90th edition of Expo Riva Schuh will also see the debut of Gardabags, the new exhibition which is all about bags and accessories and which will take place in the 2,000m2 of PalaVela, the brand-new lakeside building, directly linked to the Riva del Garda Congress Centre, the original setting for Expo Riva Schuh. Designed to meet the growing demands for a total look solution, Gardabags will complete the product category offering with a carefully selected display of bags, belts and accessories from Chinese, Indian, Arab, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Englosh, German and Portoguese exhibitors.
